Work done during the the Kerala floods of 2018
As soon as we heard about the devastating floods in our neighbouring state of Kerala, we rushed there and provided the victims at villages near Palakkad, Ernakulam and Kozhikodu and at a camp at Thiruvanthapuram with food, dresses, slippers, provision items, bed sheets etc. We also met the Chief Minister Sri PinayariVijayan and handed over a cheque for Rs.1 lakh.
The Gaja Cyclonic storm of 2018
Gaja was one of the most devastating disasters ever to strike Tamil Nadu. We travelled to many of the interior villages in the affected districts. Some of the villages had not been visited by anybody including the Govt. officials. We were moved by the plight of the villagers who had lost everything – their homes, belongings and livelihood. We provided them with some immediate relief such as provisions, food (that we ourselves cooked on the spot), mosquito coils, candles, water bottles, dresses, bed sheets, tarpaulin and women’s requirements. Subsequently, those victims from different villages have been contacting us in great anguish, asking for rebuilding their homes and for some immediate livelihood. With a resolve to help these hapless victims of the nature’s fury, we are fervently working on these.
